This structure was originally designed with one purpose in mind: to increase station production efficiency. Its presence as a supplemental manufacturing system improves its parent station's efficiency by approximately 10%. Every item created at the adjacent station will now require a smaller quantity of commodities. Additional tooling centers will continue to improve the current station efficiency by 10%. (Note: efficiency increases are cumulative, not absolute. Each 10% reduction is applied to the current production totals.)
Tooling Centers are now also being employed by TRI as a convenient platform to support an equipment-recycling facility. When targeted, a Tooling Center will list a specific item type. (Example: Recycles: Guns) Delivery of that type of unwanted gear will reimburse you for the gear at its local price. After disassembly, the component commodities are placed into the parent station's inventory where they can be reused in other manufacture. |
