His first memory was waking up in a cargo container on Octavius Core Station. He was already a young man, but with no memory of his past; he had no idea of his Quantar heritage. With nothing to his name, he volunteered to join the Octavius Reconstruction Initiative. His career as an Octavian pilot was filled mostly with anti-Conflux campaigns and the occasional skirmish with outlaws. Despite reaching the rank of Octavian Optimus, Bae' eventually became disillusioned with that way of life and resigned his Octavian commission to join the Quantar faction. There was something about the Quantar way of life that felt familiar and comfortable, but during this time in his life, Bae' felt his allegiance lay more with The Reconstruction Initiative, than with the people of Quantar. What was more, is that against all odds, in the course of his adventures, Bae' fell in love with a Solrain pilot. Feeling such a deep connection to her, he felt perhaps his roots lay with her people. So despite having yet again attained a rank of Optimus, Bae' resigned his post with Quantar and joined the Solrain Commonwealth. Bayonette climbed the Solrain ranks at an incredible pace, achieving the level of Solrain Optimus before many of his peers had even gained clearance to pilot a Viceroy... and yet, he felt very little satisfaction. It was then, having experienced the lifestyles, victories, and achievements of all three factions that the truth of his Quantar heritage became abundantly clear. Finally giving himself to the beliefs and heritage of his true people, he found his peace and purpose. Among all the temples of Quantar, Bae' always felt a special connection to the Corridor station.
